Amazing Modern Architecture from Werner Sobek of Germany

German architect, engineer, and professor Werner Sobek has many talents to speak of, but his most obvious claim to fame are the wonderful homes, buildings and landmark facades that bear a distinctly forward thought on architecture and design. Currently holding the Mies teaching chair at the Illinois Institute of Technology's architecture college, Sobek passes his extensive knowledge of sustainable design and building materials on to the next generation of architects. Among the well known names Sobek has worked with are Jean Nouvel, and Zaha Hadid who also extended their architectural talents to the furniture industry. Currently his main focus has moved past the bridges, high-rises, offices, and airports to environmentally conscious construction with the "triple-zero approach: zero energy consumption, zero emissions, and zero waste." Here is some of the unforgettable modern architecture from one of the masters in the business today.
