Concrete House With Minimum Impact on The Environment in Mar Azul

This unusual concrete residence lies in Mar Azul, a small seaside town located 400 km away from Buenos Aires, in Argentina. The house belongs to BAK Architects and was placed in a landscape with complex topography. The architects had to plan a construction that had a small budget, a minimal impact on the environment, no posterior maintenance and most of all they had to build it in a short period of time. The Concrete House is situated on a surface with a slope – there is a level difference of six meters between the highest and the deepest point of the foundation.The exterior design is quite original and due to the level difference it gives the impression of a very fancy and modern bunker. Even though the house is all-equipped, the interior somehow lacks the warmth of a family home.
